Resiliency

Resiliency is the method you use to build your resistance before you experience a trauma. You can think of it as getting an inoculation against catching a stress disorder. The higher your resistance to stress, the better you can fully recover after a stress inducing experience. This is like armor for your mind. The thicker the armor, the harder it will be for anything damaging to penetrate your defenses. There is an old saying, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. Your resiliency training is your ounce of prevention against a lasting trauma reaction. Be safe, be ready.
